Money, Money, Money.

It's no secret that money makes the world go 'round. Even with all the momentum our economy has garnered, some Americans are being left out or left behind.

It's time our elected officials put the checkbooks and economic well-being of the American people first.

I believe that the America's economy is strongest when the middle class grows from center out, not when stock market prices hit an all-time high. The only way that happens is if Congress crafts a tax code that benefits Americans for the longterm, not just in the interim.

In addition to helping American families, it's important to support American business: big & small. Small businesses need all the help they can get to ensure they can keep their lights on and support their community thru greater employment opportunities and better benefits. Larger corporations need to stay competitive in the global marketplace so a lower, incentive-based tax rate to ensure the federal government's deficits don't fly thru the roof.

As I mentioned above, some Americans are getting left behind. Minority groups and rural communities are deeply affected by silent discriminatory actions by corporations: rural communities are an afterthought when it comes to investing and redeveloping by businesses; minority groups are often underrepresented when it comes to hiring decisions . My goal would be to work with both sides of isle to make sure that everyone gets a fair shake to live out the American dream.
